The book is extremely well organized and easy to read. The book starts out with an overview of frameworks, why framewworks are needed, and the basics of creating frameworks. This provides the reader with a very good overview of frameworks to build upon when reading the details about the framework services. The various framwork services for a B2B framework are discussed in detail. The reason for a framework service is discussed. The design is discussed, including pros and cons of different designs. If a Gang of Four (GOF) pattern is used, the GOF pattern and its usage are thouroughly discussed. The .NET technology used by the framework service is discussed in detail. Then, the sample framework code is walked through to provide the reader with a full understanding of the framework service and the code to support the framework service. A sample framework could be downloaded from the book's site, which included programs to test the framework services.

I really enjoyed this book. I learned about frameworks, GOF Patterns, and some technical .NET coding. The book's organization was excellent. I did find the font a little difficult to read for long sessions of time. I would also have liked to have seen an overview of a complete framework rather then just the components for a B2B framework. The author used diagrams to explain the concepts and make some difficult topics understandable. At times, this is definately an advanced .NET book; some of the topics required re-reading a couple of times because the subject matter was very technical.

The author generally did a good job of expaining the technical topics. The book seems to end abruptly after explaining the last framework service, and does not tie everything together at the end. The bottom line is that I recommend purchasing this book and have recommeded purchasing this book to the Enterprise Frameworks team at the fortune 500 company where I work. I will also re-read this book to more fully understand some of the more technical topics and gain a better understanding of frameworks. This book has increased my interest in researching the topic of frameworks more.
